Position Effect and Number of Fiber Bragg Grating FBG in a High Optimized Optical Link

  • This paper discuss the optimal use Fiber Bragg Grating FBG as dispersion compensator. The simulated models of optical transmission system have been analyzed in term of eye diagram and Q factor using OptiSystem simulator. Three models of optical link are proposed in this work in order to optimize the use of the FBG’s in the way of dispersion compensation. A comparative study has been realized between the models proposed in this work. The output reading results show that the use of the FBG to compensate the chromatic dispersion stays a good idea. Several uses of the FBG’s are done in this work. The proposed model based on the use of two FBG’s separated with a Single Mode Fiber SMF presents the good performance of the system. The results reading using the double pre-compensation revealed itself to a better performance of the new system proposed.
