Synergistic extraction of cerium(III)-oxinates in presence of tributyl phosphine oxide

The metal ion was labeled by 141Ce radiotracer and determined by its characteristics y-energy. The nature of extracted species, their compositions and extraction equlibria were derived from distribution data. The effects of different solvents on the extent of synergism have been explained by the application of theory of regular solution.
