  • This dataset contains the ocean surface meteorology data used for the journal article: Li, X., Roberts, J. B., Srikishen, J., Case, J. L., Petersen, W. A., Lee, G., and Hain, C. R.: Assimilation of GPM-retrieved Ocean Surface Meteorology Data for Two Snowstorm Events during ICE-POP 2018, Geosci. Model Dev. Discuss. [preprint], https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-2021-161, in review, 2021. The data was retrieved from the GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement) microwave imager products in support of the International Collaborative Experiments for PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (ICE-POP 2018) field campaign. The dataset include sea surface temperature, 10-m wind speed, 2-m air humidity and 2-m temperature. The observations cover the oceans in east Asia around the Korean peninsula for 26 February – 1 March 2018 and 6 – 9 March 2018.
