- Choerolophodon pentelici (GAUDRY & LARTET, 1856) The SMNK collection includes only a score of postcranials. Because late Miocene Proboscidean postcranials have been neglected, these bones neither confirm nor refute GAZIRYʼs (1976) identification of Choerolophodon pentelici, but since this identification was based upon a tooth fragment, it can be accepted.
