Russia: SO, Sakhalin Island, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Gagarin Park, 46.96 N, 142.75E, 69 m alt., Alnus hirsuta, 11.VII.2017, 1 larva, NK619, MK 403684, deposited in INRA. Leaf mine. The mine is a small, slightly contorted brown blotch between secondary veins near leaf margin (Fig. 10E), with scattered dark grains of frass. The larva soon leaves the mine and continues feeding in the two successive shelters: first in the downwards folded (or slightly rolled) leaf margin, usually on the same leaf, then in a neighboring leaf rolled downwards (commonly rolled starting from the tip; often a half or more leaf is rolled) (Fig. 10E). Pupation site is unknown. Trophic specialization. Monophagous on Alnus: A. hirsuta, A. japonica (Betulaceae) (De Prins &amp; De Prins 2018). Distribution. Russia: RFE&#x2014;AO, KK, JAO, PK, SO (Baryshnikova 2008; Baryshnikova &amp; Dubatolov 2016); Japan (Kumata 1966), Korea, China (Baryshnikova 2016).</description><description>Published as part of Kirichenko, Natalia, Triberti, Paolo, Akulov, Evgeniy, Ponomarenko, Margarita, Gorokhova, Svetlana, Sheiko, Viktor, Ohshima, Issei &amp; Lopez-Vaamonde, Carlos, 2019, Exploring species diversity and host plant associations of leaf-mining micromoths (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) in the Russian Far East using DNA barcoding, pp. 1-55 in Zootaxa 4652 (1) on page 16, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4652.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/3363475</description><identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/5584214</identifier><identifier>10.5281/zenodo.5584214</identifier><identifier>oai:zenodo.org:5584214</identifier><relation>info:eu-repo/semantics/altIdentifier/url/http://treatment.plazi.org/id/4F5D878B254EE067FF79B82FFCCAFBDE</relation><relation>doi:10.11646/zootaxa.4652.1.1</relation><relation>url:http://zenodo.org/record/3363475</relation><relation>url:http://publication.plazi.org/id/B364FFF32541E068FFEEBA42FFEDFF82</relation><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.3363495</relation><relation>url:http://zoobank.org/6A7D6858-A43D-4FD5-8B76-FE3C1EB8DAB3</relation><relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.5584213</relation><relation>url:https://zenodo.org/communities/biosyslit</relation><rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</rights><source>Exploring species diversity and host plant associations of leaf-mining micromoths (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) in the Russian Far East using DNA barcoding, pp. 1-55 in Zootaxa 4652(1) 16</source><subject>Biodiversity</subject><subject>Taxonomy</subject><subject>Animalia</subject><subject>Arthropoda</subject><subject>Insecta</subject><subject>Lepidoptera</subject><subject>Gracillariidae</subject><subject>Caloptilia</subject><subject>Caloptilia alni</subject><title>Caloptilia alni Kumata 1966</title><type>Other:info:eu-repo/semantics/other</type><type>Other:publication-taxonomictreatment</type><recordID>5584214</recordID></dc>
