- Ambassis interrupta Bleeker 1852 —Long-spined glass perchlet Status at New Ireland. First recorded from Kavieng, New Ireland as Ambassis interruptus by Allen & Burgess (1990: 143). Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines and Vanuatu, south to New Caledonia. Found in lower reaches of streams, estuaries, in mangrove habitats, and in adjacent marine areas, 0–2 m depth. Freshwater, transitional water and marine.
