- Breathing is the first and last act of life. Respiratory diseases are on the rise. In Canada, people affected may increase by 32% between 2010 and 2030, and cost double to 24 billion dollars yearly. How can we create ongoing, open data that inform public health and research? How can we make learning engaging? How can we change mindsets within healthcare systems? How can ensure everyone, everywhere has access to lifesaving innovation? How can we empower individuals to care for their respiratory health and that of others? All problems identified have common threads. We propose to change the approach to health with open collaboration.
