- Lepidosaphes conchiformis (Gmelin, 1790) Borg (1932) recorded this species (as Lepidosaphes ficifoliae), as “very common on the lower surface of the leaves of the common fig (Ficus carica) and also of Ficus Pseudo-carica and Ficus Parcelli ”, whereas Saliba (1963) indicated it was uncommon, occurring mostly on fig. More recently, Mifsud et al. (2012) confirmed the presence of this species on both Malta and Gozo. Material examined: MALTA, Valletta, 13.ii.2012, 10 ♀♀ on bark of Ficus sp., CM; Qawra, 15.ii.2012, 22 ♀♀ on F. carica, CM.
