  • Dendropsophus columbianus Group DIAGNOSIS: The only morphological synapomorphy suggested for this group is the presence of two close, triangular lateral spaces between the cricoid and arytenoids at the posterior part of the larynx (Kaplan, 1999). COMMENTS: We included a single exemplar of this group, and as such we did not test its monophyly, but following Kaplan (1999) we recognize it on the basis of the evidence mentioned above. CONTENTS: Three species. Dendropsophus bogerti (Cochran and Goin, 1970), new comb.; Dendropsophus carnifex (Duellman, 1969), new comb.; Dendropsophus columbianus (Boettger, 1892), new comb.
