Geisthardt (2003): original description; Bocak (2007) catalogue; Geisthardt (2009): comparison with S. sweihana Geisthardt, 2009; Kundrata (2012 b): comparison with S. socotrana Kundrata, 2012 b, discussion on the systematic placement. Remarks. This species is being provisionally kept in Selasia, although the external morphology (e.g., mouthparts, antennae, pronotum) and the shape of male genitalia suggest its position outside of Drilini (Kundrata 2012 b).
