- Genus Psyllaephagus Ashmead, 1900 Comments. On a global scale, this genus comprises more than 230 species and is morphologically very diverse. It is likely that a comprehensive study on a worldwide basis will show that the genus should be divided. For instance the synonymy of Psyllencyrtus Tachikawa, 1955, with Psyllaephagus by TRJAPITZIN (1971) was not accepted by either TACHIKAWA (1981) or YAMAGISHI (1989). For this reason, we plan to use a more integrated approach (combined biological, molecular and morphological data) to investigate further the generic limits in this group.
