- SUBFAMILY LACUNINAE GRAY, 1857 Risellidae Kesteven, 1903: 621–631. Cremnoconchinae Preston, 1915: 64. Bembiciidae Finlay, 1928: 241. Remarks: Cremnoconchus was first placed in the subfamily Lacuninae by Stoliczka (1868, as Cremnobates). A new subfamily, Cremnoconchinae, was created for this genus, without discussion, by Preston (1915). If it is shown that Cremnoconchus deserves subfamilial or familial rank, the name Cremnoconchinae Preston, 1915 is therefore available.
