Naderloo, 3 Oct. 2016; GO: 1 male (ZUTC 6718), Chabahar Bay, Tis, associated with gobies, Coll. A. Sari and A. Dehghani, 2 Oct. 2016. Regional records. PG : Kuwait (Jones 1986); Iran (present study); GO: Iran (present study). Distribution. Indo-West Pacific: from Red Sea to Japan and Australia. Habitat. The species is always associated with gobies (Cryptocentrus spp. and Amblyeleotris spp.). Remake. Jones (1986) recorded this species for the first time from the Persian Gulf. Banner & Banner (1981) listed A. djiboutensis De Man, 1909, as a junior synonym of A. djeddensis, without providing any argument. But a year later, Banner & Banner (1982) reported A. djiboutensis De Man, 1909, as a distinct species from A. djeddensis. The specimens collected from the GO match closely the Singapore specimen identified as A. djeddensis by Anker & De Grave (2016: fig. 8).
