- The article analyzes the latest borrowed vocabulary in the language of leading Ukrainian online publications, in particular thematic groups of terminological vocabulary of information technologies of English origin. The article outlines that Internet communications play an important role in the popularization of foreign words, which is the reason why scientific research is devoted to the study of foreign lexemes in the language of online newspapers, as these types of media are more common than their printed analogues. The article proves that the characteristics of borrowings in the texts of modern Ukrainian mass media are determined by lexical differentiation, as a huge array of foreign language vocabulary penetrates into the Ukrainian language and their topics are extremely diverse. The article considers the most common at the present stage of the study thematic groups of terminological foreign language vocabulary, recorded in the texts of popular online newspapers: names of devices; names of programs and network tools and technologies; tokens in the field of social networks; names of units of account on the Internet; names of various types of illegal activities and threats on the Internet and fraud committed by other technical means. It is proved that the journalistic style of the modern Ukrainian language has experienced significant transformations over the last decade. The availability of online media to a wide range of readers (especially young people) has caused an expansion of the thematic range of mass media texts, and the subject of borrowed lexemes has expanded accordingly. The examples recorded in the texts of online publications prove that English is now associated not only with the scientific field, but with other spheres of life, including the field of information technology. The authors conclude that the technologicalization of society has affected the language - the share of borrowed terminological units is one of the largest. The leader among foreign language terminological vocabulary in online publications is a thematic group of tokens to denote types of illegal activities on the Internet. The group of names of network programs and technologies is somewhat quantitatively inferior to this group of borrowings. Then we quantify thematic groups of English-language symbols of units of account on the Internet, tokens of social networks and device names.
