KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 10–15 m, collapsed edge reef, sandy slope pronounced, 1 male (LC 2.0 mm), 1 ovigerous female (LC 2.5 mm), MNHN-Na 16055, 2 ovigerous females (LC 2.8 and 3.0 mm), MNHN-Na 16058, 21 specimens (6 ovigerous females), MNHN-Na 17577. Distribution. Type locality Maldives. Also known from Kenya, Zanzibar, Madagascar, South China Sea, Indonesia, Australia (Northern Territory, Queensland), New Caledonia; intertidal to 133 m depth. Remarks. The specimens agree with previous descriptions and illustrations. The species was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty. The specimen of MNHN-Na 16058 was collected together with 1 ovigerous female of Thalassocaris crinita (Dana, 1852) (MNHN-Na 16057) at Station 20 b.
