Remarks: Enicospilus adustus was previously reported from Iran under the name Enicospilus merdarius (Amiri et al. 2016) a name which should be applied to another species (Broad & Shaw 2016, Johansson 2018). Enicospilus adustus is a common and widespread species, which occurs all over the Western Palaearctic and possibly also the eastern realm. The studied material shows some intraspecific variation, which indicates that even the more strictly defined E. adustus may contain cryptic species.
