Valid name: Rousettus amplexicaudatus (Geoffroy, 1810) Presumably the Holotype: ZMB 89570, skin, male; "Mamalomino" (=?), Bougainville Id., Papua-New Guinea; presumably collected by Hediger, 17 August 1930; ex NMB. Comment: The circumstances of the transfer into the ZMB remain unknown, possibly Pohle claimed this specimen for the ZMB. The original number of the holotype is 269, which may have been the collecting number.
