- The removal of Cd from aqueous solution using micro algal resin has been studied. Various experimental circumstances, such as starting metal ion concentration, contact duration, and pH, were used to determine the % removal of Ni. It was discovered that more than 70% of the debris was removed in less than 120 minutes. The first-order Lagergren kinetic model was used in this procedure. Kad, the first order rate constant, was determined. Both; Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms was found to fit and the experimental uptake, the adsorption capacity and adsorption intensity were calculated. The research revealed that micro algae resin may be utilised to effectively remove Cd(II) from waste water. With longer contact times, lower starting metal ion concentrations, and higher pH, removal efficiency improves. The use of this microalgal resin in waste water treatment is both cost-effective and efficient.
