- Vibilia speciosa Costa Vibilia speciosa Costa, 1853: 178. — Bate 1862: 304; Carus 1885: 422. Type material Type material could not be located in any major Italian museum (see acknowledgments) and is presumed lost. The type locality is the Mediterranean Sea, coast of Naples. Remarks Costa’s description is too brief and insufficient to characterise the species. Carus (1885) lists it as a synonym of V. jeangerardi as do Vinogradov et al. (1982)
