- The article analyzes the current state of legal regulation of the Ukrainian economy. A number of necessary changes in such legal regulation in the context of European integration are considered. The positive impact on the economy due to the improvement of legal regulation and borrowing positive experience from EU member states was assessed. The article also substantiates the expediency of Ukraine's European integration course, highlights the main stages of the European integration process with the selection of achievements and shortcomings. An assessment of the impact of the geopolitical component on the European integration process is given. The positive and negative aspects of the Eastern Partnership policy are analyzed. The latest economic and political events in the world, which have a significant impact on the prospects of European integration, are analyzed separately. The main criteria for joining the EU are presented and Ukraine's compliance with the economic criterion is studied. The expediency of modernization of the production sector to improve the prospects of Ukraine's European integration is argued. The peculiarities of the functioning of the economic system of Ukraine, its current problems and prospects for further European integration are considered. The main directions of innovation and investment development of Ukraine with the EU are analyzed. The priorities of Ukraine's integration strategy are outlined. The necessity of applying an innovative approach as a guarantee of economic growth in the long run is proved. The article also presents the main objectives of Ukraine's foreign economic policy and the principles on which relations between Ukraine and the EU should be based. The need to improve currency regulation and monetary policy in Ukraine is analyzed. Attention is paid to the phased implementation of Ukraine's integration priorities in Western Europe with a focus on creating a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU. Conclusions are made on the prospects for rapid growth of gross domestic product due to the improvement of legal regulation of Ukraine's economy in the context of European integration.
