- ABSTRACT This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Payangan in class VIII D where the students' ability for Mathematics was still very low. The purpose of writing this classroom action research is to improve the mathematics learning achievement of class VIII D students of SMP Negeri 1 Payangan in the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year through the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model with guided training methods. Data collection methods are observation and learning achievement tests. The data analysis method is descriptive. With the results obtained from this study is the learning model that is applied to improve student achievement. This is evident from the results obtained at first only reaching an average of 63.52 and learning completeness 32.35%, in the first cycle it increased to 71.91 with 64.70% completeness in learning and in the second cycle it increased to 81.17 with completeness. learning reached 97.05%. The conclusion obtained from this research is that the use of the Creative Problem Solving learning model with the guided training method can improve the mathematics learning achievement of class VIII D students of SMP Negeri 1 Payangan in the first semester of the 2019/2020 school year.
