- Metal (II) chelation components of [HTPBD] ligand derived from the condensation of 2-aminobenzoic acid with cephalexin antibiotic were prepared. The [HTPBD] ligand and mononuclear [M(TPBD)(OAc)(H2O)] (M(II)Mn, Ni, Co, Zn, Cu) complexes were depicted by diverse measurements, including molar conductance and sensitivity of magnetic techniques C.H.N and TGA analysis, electronic, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectral evaluations. The arrangement of all the Metal (II) complexes shows to be octahedral. The biological implementations of complexes have been studied on two bacteria and two fungi .The Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes against the bacteria strains Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus compared with the parent drug . All the complexes were show very good activity versus A. Niger and C. albicans and it is lower efficacy than ligand and also found Toxicity was reduced (lower LD50 values) by complexation.
