  • This report provides an overview of the quality assurance and control procedures for the data workflow from source data to reliable evidence that have been developed and are being implemented in the EHDEN eco-system. The focus is on the quality control mechanisms for the mapping of the source data to the CDM by the data partners and certified Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). It is highly important that these mappings are done using a fully transparent approach. To trust in the evidence generated there must be assurance that each step in the pipeline has been evaluated and examined. In this document we walk through how source data is transformed to the CDM, describing the tools employed along the way and how they contribute to the overall quality assurance of the data. In addition, we briefly share insight on the quality control procedures of the analytical step taking the Health Analytics Data-to-Evidence Suite (HADES) as an example. This work is part of Task 5.1 “Implementation of Quality Assurance and Control Procedures” which runs till the end of the project. We will use the learnings from all WPs in the remainder of the project to further extend the procedures and tools discussed in the current deliverable.
