- Trichromothrips Priesner Prior to the three new species described below, this genus comprised 35 species, mainly from the Asian tropics (Masumoto &Okajima 2005, 2011). There are now 16 species of the genus recorded from China, of which albus, assamensis, crispator, falcus, indicus, trifasciatus and the male of elegans are here recorded for the first time.
