- 205. Ixodes sculptus Neumann, 1904. A Nearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia: Sciuridae, but they have also been found on Lagomorpha: Leporidae, Carnivora (several families) and Rodentia (several families). There are some odd records of adult ticks from Artiodactyla: Bovidae, and Galliformes: Odontophoridae. Ixodes sculptus is a rare parasite of humans.
