  • While the detection of exoplanets will remain very active (TESS, GAIA, Plato, ground-based telescopes), the characterisation of their atmosphere will develop considerably during the next decade. Indeed, in 2021, the JWST will be launched and we can expect that 25% of the observing time will be devoted to exoplanets; in 2028, ARIEL, the M4 ESA mission, will be entirely dedicated to the study of exoplanet atmospheres with a statistical approach (about 1000 exoplanet atmospheresto be observed). I will describe the missions and what they can bring in terms of exoplanet studies.
