  • Literature review for the Amazonia ILK cross-assessment case study (cross-chapter/ILK) Code: VA_ 4.10_Ch4 Version: 03 (28.Dec.2020) DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.4396204 Description: In its rationale, the scoping document for the IPBES Methodological Assessment on Values established that “the design of governance, institutions and policies rarely takes into account the diverse conceptualization of multiple values of nature and its benefits to people.” In consequence, we conducted a review to look for information about values and valuation of nature in multiple sources, and considering various types of knowledge, including Indigenous and local knowledge (ILK). In order to provide a cohesive story throughout the six chapters of the IPBES Methodological Assessment on Values regarding ILK, the members of the ILK liaison group selected two case-studies to be presented as boxes in each chapter. One of those cases is the Amazonia case for which the search of literature is described in this report.
