- The issue of education in enterprises in Slovakia is an actual topic. This trend is based on need, which is perceived by managers and owners of SMEs. Many companies in Slovakia, which educate their employees to gain better business competitiveness and gain efficiency in production processes. Results of education in SMEs in the transport sector show, that education is important for employees. Managers and owners perceived more benefits if they educate their employees in the world. The main aim of this article is to assess the current state of project managers' education in the field of transport based on realized empirical research in 2018-2019. Based on the results of this contribution the average level of awareness of quantitative risk management is low, the average level of awareness of qualitative risk management is medium, the average level of project risk management skills is medium, the average level of project risk management training is low and the average level of complexity of learning and using of Risk Management Tools is medium. It is possible to say, that there is some space to create new fields of study, which will be taking part in risk management.
