Lectotype (Mabberley in Telopea 7: 170. 1997): [icon] " Malus arantia, fructu rotundo maximo pallescente humanum caput excedente " in Sloane, Voy. Jamaica 1: 41, t. 12, f. 2, 3. 1707. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 7: 115 (BM-SL). Current name: Citrus maxima (Burm.) Merr. (Rutaceae). Note: A superfluous renaming of C. × aurantium var. grandis L. as noted by Scora & Nicolson (in Taxon 35: 593. 1986).
