Bot.: 348. 1696. - Voucher: Herb. Sloane 98: 49 (BM-SL). Current name: Smilax bona - nox L. (Smilacaceae). Note: Huft (in Davidse & al., Fl. Mesoamericana 6: 23. 1994) indicated Beyrich s.n. as the type. It is, however, not original material for the name.
