Generitype of Sibthorpia Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 169. 1929). Current name: Sibthorpia europaea L. (Scrophulariaceae). Note: Hedberg (in Bot. Not. 108: 168. 1955), followed by a number of later authors, indicated 793.1 (LINN) as type but it is unannotated by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name.
