Daftar Isi:
- Piper malamiris Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 29. 1753. "Habitat in India utraque." RCN: 232. Type not designated. Original material: Herb. Hermann 2: 23, No. 28 (BM); Herb. Hermann 2: 51, No. 28 (BM); [icon] in Rheede, Hort. Malab. 7: 31, t. 16. 1688; [icon] in Plukenet, Phytographia: t. 215, f. 2. 1692; Almag. Bot.: 297. 1696. Current name: Piper betle L. (Piperaceae). Note: Huber (in Dassanayake & Fosberg, Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 6: 282. 1987) agreed the identity of the Hermann material (BM) but, claiming wrongly that there is no evidence linking the specimens with this name, he discarded it in favour of P sylvestre Lam.
