  • Eupatorium ivifolium Linnaeus, Systema Naturae, ed. 10, 2: 1205. 1759. ["Habitat in Jamaica."] Sp. Pl., ed. 2, 2: 1174 (1763). RCN: 6070. Lectotype (King & Robinson in Woodson & Schery in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 62: 924. 1975): Browne, Herb. Linn. No. 978.28 (LINN). Current name: Chromolaena ivifolia (L.) R.M. King & H. Rob. (Asteraceae). Note: Specific epithet spelled “ivaefolium” in the protologue. Although Moore (in Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 7: 175. 1936) noted the existence of 978.28 (LINN), he did not indicate it as the type. King & Robinson, despite believing that the material might be from Swartz, indicated the same material as the type, and are followed here.
