Brot., sér. 2, 45: 275. 1971) indicated both Clifford material and 892.1 (LINN) as types, and Wijnands (Bot. Commelins: 168. 1983) stated that the Linnaean sheet "could serve as the type". However, neither statement constitutes formal typification.
