Current name: Tillandsia recurvata (L.) L. (Bromeliaceae). Note: Smith (in Proc. Amer. Acad. Arts 70: 208, 219. 1935), and followed by many later authors, treated material in the Sloane herbarium (BM-SL) as the type but this was not studied by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name.
