Daftar Isi:
- Fagonia cretica Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 386. 1753. "Habitat in Creta." RCN: 3043. Lectotype (El Hadidi in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 47. 1993): [icon] "Trifolium spinosum Creticum" in Bauhin, Prodr. Theatri Bot.: 142. 1620. Generitype of Fagonia Linnaeus (vide Hitchcock, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 153. 1929). Current name: Fagonia cretica L. (Zygophyllaceae). Note: El-Hadidi (in Candollea 21: 39. 1966) indicated an unspecified Linnaean collection as type, and (in Bot. Not. 125: 531. 1972) clarified this by indicating 546.1 (LINN) as the holotype. Unfortunately, this sheet is a post-1753 addition to the collection and ineligible as the type. Greuter & al. (in Willdenowia 14: 295. 1984) stated that Bauhin’s polynomial was the basis of the name, and El-Hadidi (1993) subsequently formalised the choice of a Bauhin illustration as the lectotype.
