Daftar Isi:
- Dorstenia alexiteria Linnaeus, Systema Naturae, ed. 10, 2: 899. 1759. RCN: 993. Replaced synonym: Dorstenia contrajerva L. var. houstonii L. (1753). Type not designated. Original material: as replaced synonym. Current name: Dorstenia contrajerva L. (Moraceae). Note: This appears to be a nomen novum at specific rank for D. contrajerva var. houstonii L. (1753). Both names appear to have been based on an illustrated account by Houstoun. Although Berg (in Harling & Andersson, Fl. Ecuador 60: 116. 1998; Fl. Neotropica 83: 198. 2001) indicated Houstoun s.n. (BM) as the holotype, it is most unlikely that Linnaeus could have seen this material and, with the existence of a cited illustration as original material, the Houstoun collection cannot serve as a neotype.
