(Ray Soc. ed.): 47. 1957): [icon] "Dolichos caule perenni lignoso" in Linnaeus, Hort. Cliff.: 360, t. 20. 1738. Current name: Dipogon lignosus (L.) Verdc. (Fabaceae: Faboideae). Note: Stirton (in Bothalia 13: 327. 1981) designated a Smith illustration as a neotype but a Hortus Clijfortianus illustration is original material for the name (and was designated as the type by Stearn in 1957).
