Common English name: Pouched Tomb Bat Barcode Index Number: The only DNA barcode recorded as S. saccolaimus is from Vietnam and is not associated with any BIN due to its short sequence length (< 500bp). IUCN status: Least Concern Recorded at: Pulau Pinang: Pulau Pinang [23]; Melaka: Masjid Tanah [23]; Selangor: Ulu Gombak [54]. S. saccolaimus roosts in the eaves of buildings, hollowed trees and rock crevices [23] with colony size varying from a few to hundreds of individuals [14].
