NOTE: Lindquist & Evans (1965: 52) and Farrier & Hennessey (1993: 47) considered Tropicoseius to be a junior synonym of Rhinoseius Baker & Yunker. We adopted the interpretation of Halliday et al. (1998: 2) and Naskrecki & Colwell (1998: 16), considering them to be distinct genera.
