- The VIC model was used for the ISIMIP2b the Global water sector to simulate long-term water and energy budget components. The VIC model's source code is shared on Zenodo. The VIC is a macroscale hydrologic model developed by Liang et al. (1994) at the University of Washington. The VIC is a research model and in its various forms, it has been applied to most of the major river basins around the world, as well as Globally.
