- The article considers the addressed lyrics from Olena Pchilka’s collection “Thoughts-Lace Frivolites (merezhanky)”. Compilers of the writer’s later works did not adhere to the author’s will as to her dedication poems, thus destroying the integrity and content of the texts. The study seeks out to elucidate the specifics of O. Pchilka’s dedications through factual material. The author of the article argues that dedication expresses the poet’s creative concept and a broad cultural and historical context spring up through the name of the addressee. Some dedications are event-driven, as the author’s dating indicates, while others are unfolded in the form of memoirs or reflections of the addresser.
