- The software Dataverse can be used at the Hildesheim University Foundation for the institutional research data repository since mid-May 2020. The DFG Code "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice" from August 1, 2019, states that all universities and non-university research institutions must implement the 19 guidelines in a legally binding manner in order to receive funding from the German Research Foundation. To make scientific knowledge publicly available, the research data (usually raw data) - depending on the specialist area – has to be accessible for ten years in the institution where it originated and be kept in repositories.
