- Taphozous mauritianus E. Geoffroy St. -Hilaire, 1818 Fig. 19 E–F * Taphozous mauritianus E. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1818: 127. This species was reported by Hayman et al. (1966: 31, map21) from all over CRB. The extra specimens we report here fill in a few gaps, but do not add any further information. The general distribution map indicates that T. mauritianus potentially occurs over the entire sub-Saharan part of Africa, with the exception of the Kalahari and a major part of the RSA.
