- Philosophy is considered as a method of conceptual study of the foundations of culture associated with the development of a logically ordered and evidence-based worldview. In this general educational capacity, philosophy is included in the content of higher education. Philosophical education is an introduction to the culture of theoretical worldview thinking on the most convincing examples presented by the history of philosophy. The multiplicity of such patterns is caused by the absence in the philosophy of paradigmatic knowledge that is common for the entire philosophical community. Separate philosophical teachings act as cultural phenomena, in the process of functioning of which selection and fixing in the collective memory of the most significant constructions takes place. This selection occurs under the influence of a historically changing social situation as a whole, as well as a specific situation in philosophyitself, taking shape within the framework of the corresponding tradition. Past thoughts live in the present because they allow us to answer questions posed by modernity (Collingwood). The problem of cultural heritage, its selection and use becomes especially relevant in the turning periods of history. This selection, taking place in all segments of culture, is carried out taking into account and under the influence of the philosophical and philosophical positions of the specialists formed by the formation. The breadth of worldview allows them to rise above individual and group addictions and engage in a constructive dialogue regarding values inherited from the past. The breadth of worldview allows them to rise above individual and group addictions and engage in a constructive dialogue regarding values inherited from the past. This is precisely what Habermas’s theory of communicative action aims at, avoiding the absolutization of instrumental rationality. The vocation of philosophy as an essential component of education and culture as a whole is seen here as leading the struggle for the communicative nature of our life world and the movement towards a meaningful consensus on the keyproblems of modern life. A full-fledged philosophical education is a prerequisite for cultivating a rational worldview discourse, saving and further developing the cultural foundations of life.
