- Micrillus badius group This species group currently includes three species (see below) distributed in the southern East Palaearctic and Oriental regions. It is distinguished from other species groups by dilated protarsomeres I-IV, from other species groups represented in the East Palaearctic and Oriental regions also by larger body size, denser punctation of the forebody, a male sternite VIII with a shallow or small posterior excision, and a slender, weakly sclerotized, and practically symmetric aedeagus with a small hooked apex.
