- Antherophagus ochraceus Melsheimer, 1844 Antherophagus ochraceus was reported from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and insular Newfoundland by Bousquet (1991) and it is widely distribut- ed in the region (Fig. 1). Antherophagus species are associated with bumblebees (Bombus spp.) (see A. convexulus). Blatchley (1910) reported this species from the flowers of Hydrangea arborescens L. (Hydrangeaceae). In Nova Scotia there are several records from the flowers of Rosa virginiana Mill. (Rosaceae).
