- This paper presents the development and partial results of research projects on documentary typology developed at the Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa. The focus of our analyzes is based on the convergence of the identification of the documentary type as a form of representation of actions between the individual and society, and the concepts elaborated in the scope of the research as equivalents of the characteristics and contexts that a document can represent.
