- Supercritical Organic Rankine cycle (SRC) based power generation from geothermal heat is analyzed to identify good working fluid from the list of various organic refrigerants. Alsothe fluid either CFC or HCFC with zero ozone depletion potential is selected to make the process eco-friendly. The SRC uses source temperature 125-200oC and sink temperature 10-20oC. Performance analysis is done for various fluids regarding condensation pressure, thermal efficiency and exergy efficiency. Thermal efficiency obtainable is 20%. Mixtures show efficiency remaining between constituent fluids.
