  • The OpenAIRE technical infrastructure includes services dedicated to the aggregation of metadata about objects of the research life-cycle for the materialization of a scholarly communication graph. Being aware of the challenges to face when designing, implementing and operating a big metadata aggregative infrastructure, OpenAIRE aims at providing its technologies to third parties (e.g. National Contact Points (NCP) like ministries and libraries, research communities, research initiatives, national and regional aggregators) in order to facilitate the realization of sustainable metadata aggregative infrastructures in Europe and beyond, which can benefit with off the shelf interoperability with the OpenAIRE infrastructure services. This document describes the several options that OpenAIRE offers to third parties to exploit OpenAIRE’s aggregator enabling framework based on the D-NET Software Toolkit and the OpenAIRE Broker Service.
